Kinasi Lodge is located some 15 km from Mafia Airport, on the south east coast of Mafia Island at Utende, overlooking Chole Bay. Kinasi Lodge can accommodate 28 guests in its 11 cottages, a VIP suite and a family bungalow. All cottages are spacious with en-suite bathroom and covered verandah furnished with hammock, chairs and table. The cottages have fans, mosquito netting, and have been designed for through ventilation and coolness in all seasons. Activities at the lodge include water sports, boat dives, snorkelling, fishing, sailing, nature trails and bird watching walks. The Lodge is closed during the long rains from Easter to 01st June each year.

Polepole Bungalow Resort

Situated in the Utende area of Mafia Island ,the resort is Archipelago's main base. It is set in a shady, breezy spot facing a sea of the deepest blue and looking over at the islands of Chole, Juani and Jibondo. The beds have wooden slats and high quality spring mattresses. All linen is imported from Italy. Bathrooms have double washbasins, king-size showers, bidets and toilets. Each bungalow covers 60 sq m with personalized fixtures and finishings.
The floors are made out of hard woods (afrormosia, one of the rarest and valued tropical woods), the furniture from mahogany and the door and window frames from
doussi.

Mafia Island Lodge
Located on the south of Zanzibar and a 30 minute flight from Dar Es-Salaam, The lodge is located at the sea's edge on Chole bay and stands some 400 metres from the beach. Built from coral stone, the 40 rooms are at garden level with a veranda overlooking the ocean.The restaurant serves local specialties, seafood and fish. Facilities include fishing, wind surfing, sailing, boat trips to neighboring islands and diving. Qualified divers can rent diving equipment from the hotel.

CHOLE MJINI LODGE

Chole Mjini is a lodge set in the baobab trees on the island of Chole at the Southern tip of Mafia. A small island off a small island off a small island. You can not get more remote. Jean and Anne De Villiers the founders of Chole Mjini have been friends since way before they moved to Chole over ten years ago. This is real eco friendly tourism, the first time we travelled to Chole there was no Hotel but Jean and Anne had set up a dispensery and a school. Jean and Anne settled here with their young children Didier and Maja and with limited resources and with the help of the local people have slowly built a lodge by hand which has become legendary
